CADE’s Tribunal: Reestablishment of Quorum and main effects

On December 27, 2023, and shortly after his nomination was published in the Brazilian Official Journal , Diogo Thomson de Andrade took office as a commissioner of the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (“CADE”) for a four-year term. As a result, the minimum quorum of four commissioners for the functioning of the Tribunal has been reestablished.

CGU and CADE signed a technical cooperation agreement

Last Friday, on November 10, 2023, the Brazilian Office of the Comptroller General (“CGU”) and the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (“CADE”) signed the Technical Cooperation Agreement CGU/CADE No. 52/2023 (“Agreement”). The Agreement will be in force for 48 months.
