How Salton, Aurora, and Garibaldi are tackling the forced labor crisis

A year ago, Brazil’s three largest wineries—Salton, Aurora, and Garibaldi—faced a major crisis when 207 workers hired to transport grapes were rescued from conditions akin to slavery in Bento Gonçalves (RS). The case shocked the country, but not enough to curb this type of crime.
