The newly elected government has stated that the environmental, social, and infrastructure agenda will be highlighted in the coming years. There is an expectation that there will be a greater concern with ESG-related matters, which must be monitored by companies. The environmental matter, one of the points of the elected president campaign will be headed by Marina Silva and will focus on combating deforestation of the national Biomes. In addition, the new Government will start, in 2023, a new social and environmental assistance program – called "Bolsa Verde", which will be headed by the Ministry of Environment and foresees the payment of a small amount of money to extremely poor families who live in relevant areas for environmental preservation. The new Government also intends to keep the social agenda, with reinforcement of the aid and anti-hunger policies. On the infrastructure side, the elected president stated that there will be no privatizations in this new term of office. However, there are already statements that the new administration intends to resume highway concessions, seeking an economic-financial rebalancing or even an extension of the concession terms through considerations in investment, in those contracts where there are pending issues. In these cases, the Government is studying a new model in which there would no longer be a limit to the discount on the tariff proposed in the bids.
